The Story

This sculptural pitcher pays homage to Helen Frankenthaler's color field paintings. Her experimental technique of soaking and staining the canvas while pouring, dripping and sponging color heavily influenced the color approach to this collection.

Each piece is hand blown and unique, and there will be slight inconsistencies in shape due to the hand blowing process. There may be some magic bubbles.

About the Brand

Gone is a multi-disciplinary design studio in Chinatown NYC. Functioning as both showroom and workshop. It is a place for gathering as much as for making by hand. Founded as an evolution of the former brand Upstate, the practice moves fluidly between textile, glassware, sculpture, installation and objects shaped for the body and space. All textiles are dyed in house using small batch, experimental processes. Glassware is produced within the tri-state area in close collaboration with local makers. Each piece reflects a commitment to slowness and the physical intelligence of materials. Gone operates as a living practice, one that values collaboration, education, and communal exchange alongside design and production.
